In America, on October 31st, there is a tradition for kids to knock on your door excitedly shouting “trick or treat” as they expect you to hand them a piece of candy. But there is just one problem: during the Halloween season, countless candies stock the shelves, and it can be overwhelming to choose which one to hand out.
Should you go for the most popular option? What candy do your neighbors like? Where should you buy them?
Well in this article I will hopefully help you to make your decision and make you the neighborhood's most favorite person!
What are the most popular kinds of candies? Additionally, should you buy the most popular candies?
The most popular options are usually the safest and best options because those candies are catered to basically everyone. There is a reason why so many people love them and keep buying them over and over again. Furthermore, buying popular candies saves a lot of hassle because of the wide range of availability in many stores.
The top ten most popular candies include Snickers, Reese’s, Kit Kat, Peanut M&Ms, Hershey’s, Twix, Starbursts, Skittles, Sour Patch Kids, and Candy Corn!
What do your neighbors in Vestavia Hills and Liberty Park like?
Junior Krish Chintareddy, sophomore David Brewer, and freshman Aiden Billano all stated that their favorite candy was “definitely Reese's Cups!”
Junior Aditya Sheelavant claims “I like Hershey’s chocolate!”
Freshman Reid Yother believes that “the peanut M&Ms” are the best.
Junior Sam Baskar Raj notes that his favorite candy is “any type of gummies, especially Haribo.”

There are many places to shop for big bags of assorted candies. You can get them in grocery stores such as Walmart, Target, and Publix. Additionally, you can buy big bags of candy in wholesale stores like Costco and Sam’s Club. You can now also buy candy online on Amazon or even directly from candy retailers!
