Not quite sure what field you want to go into? Not a problem! Below are some classes that upperclassmen said they would recommend to an underclassman.

“AP Comparative Government and Politics with Dr. Toland. I really learned a lot about different cultures and policies in different countries, and it was very eye-opening. Dr. Toland has a really great way of explaining things so everyone could understand which I appreciated.”

“ASL is pretty fun”

“Speech! It’s part of the Speech and Debate team, and in speech, you’re gonna work on independent projects that you can perform at competitions. It’s a really great way to get your ideas out there, and also have a really great extracurricular for college. It’s just really fun overall.”

“I would recommend Public Speaking because I learned a lot of helpful skills that will aid me in the future, and I really enjoyed the class.”

“AP Chem! It’s really hard, but once you get past the content the class is just fun and everyone in it is into it. And the teacher, Mrs. Sutherland, is really good.”

“I miss APES (AP Environmental Science). Or I guess I would recommend Environmental Science in general because Mr. Waguespack takes his classes outside a lot and tells a lot of crazy stories.”

“I like AP Computer Science because Mrs. Hickman is really supportive, and you use Code.org which is a really fun website with interactive lessons for coding. Everyone in it just has a super fun time. It’s a chill class.”

“Yeah, my favorite class is Cybersecurity. It’s a good time.”

“I really like AP Lit with Mrs. Robinson, and I like the stories that we read. I love the atmosphere of the classroom. She doesn’t have the harsh fluorescent lighting.”

“Honors English 11 was a really fun class. Mr Davis is a really fun teacher.”

“I like AP Gov because it’s not as hard as people make it out to be. Also, our government is one of the most important things to learn and be knowledgeable about.”

“AP Lang. The teacher was fun and prepared me for the exam.”

“I have an answer now. Definitely Foundations of Health Science, because if you’re interested in the medical field it helps introduce you to possible job opportunities and figuring out what you would like to do.”

“My favorite is French because it’s so much fun, and I love Madame Harlan and being with all my friends. This class has given me so many opportunities and it’s so awesome-tastic and I got to go to France.”

“I really enjoy my 3D Solid Modeling classes. It has been the most beneficial class to me because it has offered me scholarships and certifications in certain programs. It’s really helped me on my path towards engineering.”

“I recommend all of the courses taught by Madame Harlan and the AP English classes are all amazing. Not only are you gonna learn a lot, but you’re gonna have a good time while also just learning about life in general.”
