Our VHHS Theatre Department is putting on Mamma Mia! as their 2023 musical. Many students from different parts of the high school have been working on this musical since January. Whether they are performing, making props, or simply pulling the curtain open and closed, everyone involved in the production has a crucial part to play, and the show could not go on without them. One cast member, Noah Norris (playing Eddie), says that he is most excited for opening night, which is coming up this Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. You can buy tickets from any cast or crew member at a discounted price.
The musical is about a woman named Donna (Reagan Kessler), an independent hotelier in the Greek islands, who is preparing for her daughter's wedding with the help of two old friends. Meanwhile Sophie (Charlotte Clemmons), the spirited bride, has a plan. She secretly invites three men from her mother's past in hope of meeting her real father and having him escort her down the aisle on the big day.
Everyone should come out this week and support your fellow classmates as they put on the production that they have worked so hard on! Our VHHS Theatre Department is one of the best in the state, so I have no doubt that this musical will be one you won't want to miss!
Shows are April 20-22 at 7:00 p.m. and April 22-23 at 2:00 p.m.
Presale tickets cost $10 and tickets bought at the door cost $15
