16 year old Campbell Price is a junior at Vestavia Hills High School. She is a part of VNN and is the director of spirit for the junior class. Although she is busy enough, did you know she has a thriving local business?
Freshman year, Campbell tore her ACL. After tearing her ACL she began making cookies and quit basketball. When Campbell and her sister would go to their dad's house, they would create cookie recipes for fun. Campbell recognized her love for making cookies and wanted to make money out of it.
During this period, Crumbl Cookies recently opened. Campbell loved the different cookies and wanted to do something similar. So, she began researching the science behind making cookies and began creating recipes. Afterwards, she created an Instagram and Facebook account to advertise her new business. She would go to fall markets in 2021 and slowly began to gain customers. As her business grew, so did she. Campbell was able to put her artistic talent into decorating her cookies.
Campbell sells a variety of different cookies as well as decorated frosted sugar cookies. Her best-selling flavors are: Cookies N’ Cream, Reese’s Cup, and Red Velvet. Her Christmas cookies are by far the most popular, which are being released soon. Campbell plans to sell Candy Cane cookies, Hot Chocolate cookies, and Iced Oats cookies. In addition to that, she will be selling frosted sugar cookies in all different shapes.
On average, Campbell has two orders per week. She spends around 2-3 hours a day baking or frosting cookies. During the holidays though, she spends up to 8 hours a day working on cookies and has around 4-5 orders a week.

In the future, Campbell dreams of opening a storefront after she graduates from college, but for now, Campbell plans to gain a business license and be able to ship interstate.
